Project Overview

CalWest is proposing a new residential community on approximately 35 acres on Jamacha Road at Lamp Airport Road in Rancho San Diego. The project has been thoughtfully designed to fit within the existing community, and includes a mix of housing types, complementary architectural styles, landscaped areas and open space.

The surrounding area already includes single-family homes, condominiums and apartments so the proposed homes are organized to create a transition between the multi-family development west of the site and the single-family neighborhoods to the east.

The project will also include a neighborhood recreation area with a clubhouse and pool, along with outdoor gathering and recreation spaces. Proposed amenities include tot lots, playgrounds, pickleball courts, BBQ areas, shaded seating and a dog park. A grab ‘n go cafe is also included that will be open to residents.

Approximately 4.5 acres of private park and recreational areas are proposed within the community, along with additional open space and landscaped areas.

Neighborhood Connectivity and Circulation

Trellis includes improvements intended to provide safe and convenient access for both future residents and the surrounding community.

Two full-access connections are proposed, including the primary entrance from Jamacha Road and a secondary connection to Wind River Road. The Wind River Road connection will provide an additional route for residents and emergency access.

Sidewalks and meandering pathways will connect residents throughout the community and provide connections to Jamacha Road and Wind River Road. A proposed mobility hub will include bike parking, a bike repair station, seating and space for rideshare pick-ups and drop-offs.
